Rethinking Disabilities is expanding to 5 cities in 2025 – Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Winnipeg—bringing critical conversations on workplace disability inclusion to new audiences. This year’s theme, “Transforming the Workplace for People with Disabilities,” will explore how organizations can drive meaningful change and create truly inclusive work environments.
Rethinking Disabilities Ottawa is kicking off the series with a twist – this one’s not just another panel discussion; it’s a book launch party. That’s right, we’re putting the spotlight on Max Brault’s brand-new book, The Race to the Starting Line. Expect a night that’s part education, part inspiration, part networking, and part “Wow, I didn’t know that!” – all wrapped up with a side of entertainment.

Max’s book dives deep into the Accessible Canada Act – one of the most transformative laws since the Charter of Rights and Freedoms—and the work still needed to turn accessibility from a policy into a lived reality. And while the Ottawa event is all about celebrating the book, future Rethinking Disabilities events will take a page (literally) from it, using key chapters to spark real talk about workplace inclusion for people with disabilities in the workplace.
Join us as we challenge outdated perspectives, share best practices, and work together to build a future where people with disabilities can thrive in every workplace.
