Dr. Shahzad Khan is the founder and CEO of Gnowit Inc, which provides an automated solution for real-time monitoring of legislative and regulatory information in the US and Canada to aid firms with compliance, legislative risk and advocacy functions. Gnowit analyzes the ‘firehose’ of data via artificial intelligence methods, and generates actionable board-room-ready briefings to power corporate initiatives involving Government relations, legal compliance, and business intelligence.
Shahzad Khan is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience across the entire lifecycle of the technology venture journey, from concept, to scale-up to exit. Over the past decade, Shahzad has been an active advisor for several tech-focused startups in Canada, the US and globally, and helped dozens of them integrate AI into their processes as a strategic enabler.
Shahzad has practical experience in tech-driven value creations (including digitalization, artificial intelligence and big data platforms), creative bootstrapping and systematic approaches to accelerate product-market fit.
Shahzad holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge (UK), and an MSc in Information Studies from Syracuse University (NY, USA). He holds 5 patents and is the author of 35 peer-reviewed academic publications.
