Raquel is a Toronto-based Learning & Development leader with over 10 years of experience in creating innovative learning opportunities. She holds a BA in History from Dalhousie University, and an M.A. in Special Education from New York University. Upon her return to Toronto, Raquel became actively involved in the Jewish community. She led Birthright Trips, volunteered and chaired many committees, and traveled on the Young Adult March of the Living (MOL). Her MOL experience inspired her to turn her passion of community building into a career and in 2013, Raquel began working at UJA. Over 7 years, Raquel led program development in many capacities for UJA’s Diller Teen Fellows, Israel Engagement Department, and the March of the Living.
Raquel’s taken her passion for people to the tech world, where she’s leading the Talent Development function at Jobber, one of Canada’s fastest-growing software companies. Raquel uses a creative approach on her mission to help develop, support, and cultivate great leaders – aka, help awesome people keep being awesome. She continues to volunteer in the community through Holocaust Education initiatives, helping individuals learn to understand our past in order to safeguard our future.
